Text messages from Atlas
Last updated 24 August 2026
Atlas sends one kind of text message, and only when you ask for it: a one-time code so you can sign in. There is no marketing list, no newsletter, and no second kind of message. We never share or sell your number.
The message programme, in full
- What you receive: a one-time code to sign in.
- How often: one message each time you sign in — never on a schedule, never unprompted.
- Cost: message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile plan. Atlas does not charge for the message.
- Marketing: we never send marketing or promotional texts.
- Sharing: we never share or sell your number.
- Stopping: the code is only ever sent when you ask for it, so there is nothing to unsubscribe from. Stop signing in, or delete your account in the app, and the messages stop.
Where consent is given
You give consent by entering your phone number on the Atlas sign-in screen and tapping Continue. That action is the request for the code — it is the only way to receive one, and there is no other path by which a number enters our system.
This is what that screen shows at the moment you tap Continue, including the disclosure beneath the button:
what’s your number?
we’ll text you a code to confirm it’s you.

What the message says
A sign-in code looks like this:
Your Atlas code is 123456. It expires in 10 minutes. Atlas will never ask you for this code.
Atlas will never ask you to share a code with anyone, including someone claiming to be from Atlas.
